I personally love the gold with black bevels and would just keep it like that.

Cool. Thanks. I left it up to him either gold or white. He said the original color of it was white. I'd be happy either way I think.

      Thanks Again!

Cool. I guess if the original was white, then that'd be fine, too. I don't know how much resale value there would be on an old Student RR with a Kahler anyway, but if you like it, you can have it whatever color you prefer. Get it and play the crap out of it!

Since you mentioned it, I thought there would be some value. What do you think it's worth? Might not be a good trade. I'm trading a weight bench set and treadmill for it. Value of my stuff is around $700-$800..

I'd say that sounds about right. Maybe the RR could be worth a little bit more.

From a collector/value PoV: There's also less chance for the RR to be a parts mutt
As you stated, that the seller 'restores' these guitars, SO if he has 3 bolt-on guitars with a warped neck, and 2 others of which the body has cracked,.. what is he gonna do?

Exactly. From what I can tell in our conversations so far the seller seems to have been very honest. He has told me that several of the guitars pictured are "mutts". He says that the San Dimas Tribute is original as is the RU. Still, as you've stated the RR being a neck-thru is as close to a guarantee as you can get I guess.

IMO, the Rhoads is the only one of value from those three options.

I'm happy if I get a fair trade for my workout equipment which as I stated is around $700 or so. As long as I'm not getting ripped off and I get a good player out of it I'm happy.

I agree with most: sure a Kahler isn't the ideal for a Rhoads, but an early Rhoads is VERY cool...grab the Rhoads!

I got one in white. It's badass. Only geet I have with a kahler. Doesn't bother me at all.

One of the best sounding guitars I own. Duncan Distortion in bridge. Nasty fucker.
