i'd guess that it's not a good idea, as you could have chipping issues... however, if you go to the warmoth thrift shop, there's plenty of painted guitars that have no pickup routs on them until they're sold. so, sure, it can be done, but i sure wouldn't want to! [img]graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]
