  • Anybody got a Mark Morton Dominion Pro

Trying to find one of these, everywhere is out of stock. Thinking of ordering one from Sweetwater, but they can't give me an ETA.
Wondering, anybody that has one, do you like it?

I've got a Bourbon Burst from the first year of production in 2006 when they came with the painted neck and Duncan '59 set.
I kinda wish it was newer with the oiled neck, but the painted neck is fine. It plays and sounds great.

These cats want $1800 for this.
They say new, looks like an older one to me.

They were made in Japan until late 2011. I kinda' remember reading the newer models are made in Mexico.
        96xxxxx, 97xxxxx and 98xxxxx serials oftentimes don't indicate '96, '97 and '98.

Old School Burst, but the second series with the oiled neck and the natural/scraped body binding. And that $1800 price is insane! It might still be in new condtion, like New Old Stock.
I think I paid less than $1,000 for mine with case; though, that was from a forum member who was a dealer/sponsor here that had it in his personal collection.

They might be, since the Japanese plant is no longer. And I think the only two models they have now are the black and white ones. Then there's the D2 which was bolt-on with dot inlays, and the newer D2X that I believe is neck-thru with dots.

Blows, every time I like something it's near impossible to get because everybody just wants typical lame ass strat shapes. Sweetwater tells me around May for the pro model. Jackson says end of Summer. One of them pricks is lying.

That sucks. I really don't know where they're made now, but the first and second series were Japanese and sound/play great. They're very ergonomic and rest on your leg really nicely. I normally play in the classical position with the guitar between my legs, hate the way a guitar feels on my right leg, but I can actually do it with this one.
They had them in a bunch of cool colors... Bourbon Burst, Old School Burst, River Bed, Wine Drunk. I do like the new black and white ones and would like to try one eventually.

I mean to ask you guys, in some pics the body looks really wide, in others not so. Look at this video and then the pic I posted earlier of the flamed maple one. Is it me or is the black one wider?

                  00:20 in this video.

Doesn't seem wider to me. The white binding may make it look that way.

I have a early one in Wine Drunk and a newer one in Old School Burst. They are both awesome guitars. I'm curious about the new models coming out.

There is a River Bed on Reverb. Music Zoo has one also.

                        The one at music zoo?
                        Sorry! Out Of Stock

The one on Reverb is trans black finish and is a D2, not a pro. There are none for sale on the planet. That is pro models. Everyone I talk to says they want one. Why doesn't Jackson make more of these if they're so popular?

Here's mine. Don't like the finish. Wish it was the Riverbed or Wine Drunk. I'm going to get a black pro when they are available hopefully.

This if the pictures are correct is not a D2

Look like it has ended, Sorry.

I looked for a few years for mine.

Are you looking for perfect, or a player?
