  • Charvel 650Xl, USA made?

Hi. I guy in Spain is selling a Jackson Charvel 650 XL, in the headstock the guitar has a "label": mod. 650 made in USA. I´m kind of confuse, is it a genuine USA made? Check photos please.

Nope, those are Japanese. From the execution, he might as well have written 'made in USA' on it with a sharpie LOL
Popular is not the same as good
Rare is not the same as valuable
Worth is what someone will pay, not what you want to get

It doesn't have the original JT590 tremolo (by Schaller), they have gutted the electronics and there's rust everywhere. More than 400€ would be too expensive

Whoever put that sticker on there was a retard or lazy. He could have put a little more effort into it.

I wouldn't buy from an asshole who intentionally tries to mislead people. Who knows what else he might be up to? It's bad enough out there when there is a gray area, but this is black & white douchebaggery, plus import Charvels aren't that hard to find in nice shape from honest sellers. Tell the guy to take his beater guitar & fuck off.

Hmm, I don't think it's as clear cut as all that. The label is clearly aged, it might have been on there for years, before the current owner got it. And nowhere does it say the seller is claiming it's made in the USA.
It's a fucking sweet looking guitar - maybe not so much to guys in the USA but to someone in Europe like me, I think it'd be well worth £400.

Good point that it could've been the previous seller. Whoever did it is a grade-A scumbag.

-edit- on a lighter note, this made me remember this classic shot:

Nah, I'd may go as high as €550 for a 650XL, if it was as excellent condition as my Charvel Fusion Plus (which I grabbed for €350 with case, I also grabbed My Jackson Fusion XL for the same amount with only a small paintchip),
but that guitar has seen quite a lot of action, and it's probably gonna need a new trem (€175) and studs at least
                      €300 - €325 tops

It looks pretty well played personally I wouldn't go much higher than €300.
