ok, this guitar has way to much highs coming out (bridge pup) and they aren't pleasant highs either. it's a basswood body, maple neck, rosewood board. ive changed the EQ on the amp and the processor to no avail and decided i need an upgrade. the sound im hoping for is something like my DK2 has with the jb / 59 combo, warm with excellent mids and cleaner highs (im not picky about the low end, just want to avoid muddy or mushy sound. i realize that the Dk2 is alder / maple / maple and the same combo wont sound the same. i've been curious about dimarzio and not against trying those, not sure which ones but the website is way better than SD's site to compare how the EQ is on all the pups. can any of you give some feedback who has experience with the wood combo the js32 has and pups you have tried? this is my practice guitar that i sometimes use to perform at church, and mostly it's for rock, not metal, so i dont need super high gain distortion but not Beatles classic vintage tone if you know what i mean. thanks in advance
