It's been a while since I have posted to this forum. The last few months life has handed me too many curveballs. Between my back problems which are getting worse, moving out of my apartment, and my job coming to an and I've been doing my best to get by. I have been going back-and-forth about selling off pieces of my vast collection. The last thing I thought I would ever do his part with one of my babies. As they say life happens though. So I'm on the fence about thinning the herd.
Either way here's a bit of an update as to my collection. Both of my Kramer and Washburn guitars have left my collection. I finally got around to digging out more of my guitars and finally getting some photographs taken. I dug out some amazing stuff. I think last time I counted I'm down to around 35 guitars. These are the only ones I had time to dig out.
I guess I will give you a rundown of what I have. We will start with the non-Charvels lol. 2 Fender HM strats, One in hot pink and one in blue stone marble. One Fender Hartfield Talon which is also a very amazing shade of blue. Next is a 1988 Westone Spectrum with the bendmaster trem. 2008 road worn faded black Gibson SG. Not a real big fan of this particular guitar just because I've never been fond of SG's. Next is an 85 DT155 Ibanez destroyer. This one is autographed on the back by Paul Stanley on the electronics cavity cover. I obtained this autograph in the mid 90s. This guitar has very incredible action but I wish it was the Phil Collen model.
Next is my Jackson Dinky EVH Custom lol. This guitar has fantastic tone and the notes have A lot of personality. I outfitted this baby with a Kramer banana head stock neck. The neck is a 1984. It has an EVH D-Tuna. I did the paint job myself and I wanted it to look homebrew because I think it adds character. Now onto the good stuff. First are two of my favorites. Both are 89's. A midnight cobalt 750 XL and a red 650 XL. They are both in excellent condition and both fantastic players. Next is a 1987 model five. It too is all original and plays fantastic. Next is a red and black model three. This thing is damn near perfect. Even has all of the original case candy as well. It has been tucked away in my closet since about 1994. Last but not least is a 2002 model a plus.
Anyhow I thought I would update you guys and show some more of what currently resides in my collection. I don't want to have to get rid of any of my babies but sometimes life gets in the way and were forced to do things we don't want to. I think the first things that I will get rid of is the SG and the 2 HM strats. What do you guys think?
