We have lost the family and the strength of its morals, values, and success. Many of our students are academically strong, and honestly try hard, but the support from home of many is below par. <font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Joe, (and I really hate getting off the subject of a post like this, sorry guys) I do agree in part with your point and my hat's off to you for being one of the teachers that most should take an example from, but my feelings come from a working relationship I have with many local school districts and I'm sorry but yes, I do see a lot of teachers that just seem to be there for the paycheck. I'll tell you a very disturbing example of this: last summer I was doing some network upgrades and maintenance at one of our local school districts and in the special ed room (7th thru 9th grades) I found a bunch of child porn on the teachers computer. I immediately went to the server and started checking some cache logs and found that he spent about 3/4 of his days surfing porn on the internet while his students were busy. I went before the school board with his PC under my arm and the guy was fired the next day. Now Joe, I realize this fruitcake was an exception but if you think this kind of "teacher" just doesn't exist, your very wrong. I work with several schools in this area and this is just one of a few dozen stories I could tell you but I'm not going to do it here. I do thank god for the ones like you bro, don't get me wrong, but there are some problems out there that I can't ignore. And BTW, I agree that a lot of them start at the students home.

Floyds usually have at least three. Maybe someone at the factory forgot to put a third in or someone at the store took one out? I've seen people using two springs with no problem, but I would go with at least three. Anyway, you should be able to find extra springs at your local guitar shop.

Re: RANDY ROADS RLOYDE ROSE PROBLEM

If you had the store do the initial string change from 9's to 10's, they probably took out the 3rd spring and cranked the claw in, leaving only the two springs.

It really sounds like the strings are stretching out if it's only been a few weeks.
It could also be the locking nuts aren't tight enough (or too tight?)

Anyhoo, put on a new set of strings and see what happens

I needed 5 springs for the schaller floyd on my Rhoads Pro to balance with 11's. I bet that's your problem.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">ok i took the tem cover off and tighten the sring claw a half turn each screw,to get it back level, tuned it up and its back to intonation(sp?)

i also took the bar off the trem, ive desided to play with out becuase i find my self using it like a volume pedel and turning the strings to spaggiti and back to get that sound, time to hook the ernieball back up becuase thats got to be the problem, also it only had 2 springs from the factory, becuase when i got it i took it all apart to inspect the cuts for body cracks ect,the wiring all that good stuff, but i did not mess with the setup becuase i ordered it from a shop in denver and it was setup before i bought it,but i needed something that the leads rang out a little more, another question for yall, what kinda pic ups is on this thing, there just regular black humbuckers...?

Thanks, Josh. I really believe in what I'm doing, and the day I don't is the day I get out of education, honest! Every profession has its slackers, and I admit, I've seen a few teachers who abuse the system. But so do doctors, lawyers, pro athletes, actors, musicians, etc. I'm lucky enough to come from a family that has been financially well off that I can "afford" to live on teacher's pay. I don't take anything for granted and while I teach Earth/Space Science, I also teach life, skills that don't come from books and homework. But skills that young minds need to develop to be happy, healthy, and productive adults. Rock on!
