Just wondering If anyone has seen one of these?

I am a new member and am glad that I found people who love jackson guitars. Ok I want to know if anyone has see one of these guitars. I bought it in 92' around christmas time. The model # on the head stock is CSM-1G and the head stock is the guitar shaped charvel. It also has a 23 fret pattern and the pick-ups go hum sing hum. The serial # on the back is 010749. I talked to the jackson people and they said that the csm-1g stood for "christmas special" and that they only made them for that year. I am just looking for any info on these and if anyone else has one or have seen one.

Does the guitar-shaped logo have a 6-inline pointy head like a Jackson or does it have a 3x3 head like a Les Paul?

the head looks like a strat head with the charvel logo spelled out like the shape of a guitar.

is there a zero fret? Or maybe you included the nut in your fret count....

Ok.. there are only 22 frets..I counted wrong last night. Anyway still looking for anyone who have seen or heard of a guitar like this.

Yes, import series. I'm not sure if these were the Korean ones or if they're Japanese. I don't think they "Christmas Series", but maybe? [img]graemlins/scratchhead.gif[/img] They made a few models with this headstock.

Yeah, they're not uncommon. They were made in the early-mid 90's and are made in either India? or Japan.

Not really much to tell about them, but they were generally considered a value/entry line of guitars.

From the spacing of the 12th fret dots, I'd guess it's japanese. The ones that I've been told were Korean or Indian all had these much farther apart. Be aware though, that this is just second hand knowledge that I've picked up around here on the forums.

Yeah, from the dot spacing at the 12th fret and from the neckplate, it appears Japanese.

I'll tell you something about em....they suck @$$. I got one for my first guitar, and it was cool for a month.I then started to do evil things to it, cuz it was being evil to me. I still have it though, and after repainting it 3 times, and changing the hardware a coupla times, its alright now...i call it the GhettoCaster.
