<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Rockbag by Warwick makes a heavy duty gigbag that will fit the KV and the Rhoads. When I say heavy duty I mean it - it has an inch of padding, very sturdy surface material, large zippers with locks, several handles and built-in straps for carrying it on your back. I can recommend it.

Keep it in the case. Gig Bags are a joke. They just keep the dust off of your guitar.

I agree with others in keeping it in the case...if it is truly you're baby you wouldn't be wanting to put it in a gig bag

I think it's worth reiterating: gig bags aren't meant to protect, but they're there for a purpose.

If he is lugging a KV2 on his back on his bike all through NY, he wont need a gigbag long.

Gig bags aren't meant to protect, but they serve a purpose. Hardshell cases are often too big and bulky for easy transportation. When I want to put my guitar in the car and take it to my friend's house or something, a hardshell case is overkill. Also, I just took a bus trip and the policy was that all musical instruments have to be taken on as carry-ons. They refuse to check them. I can honestly say putting a softshell case into an overhead is easier than a hardshell.

SOme of the newer gig bags are very thick and stiff and I wouldn't hesitate using them on any guitar almost.

thanks guys. i ride the bus and the subway, and that case can be quite the hassle to lug around. i will try out a few next weekend.
