Hi all,
I bought a Jackson a long time ago and I'm not sure what model it is. After doing some research, it appears to be a DKMG, but I figured I would post here to double check and find out some more information on it.
The color is dark green with tiny little green specks in it (almost like glitter). The color looks black from afar, but once up close or in the right light it's a beautiful green.
- It has three knobs and a selector switch. The last knob can be pulled "up" to activate the pickups.
- Piranha inlays
- The serial number on the back is 7 digits long and the first two numbers are "99"
- From what I've read, the "99" could be the year it was made
- Also, I've read that the first "9" could mean that it was made in Japan
- The bridge says "Jackson" on one side and on the center says "Licensed Under Floyd RosePats."
- Both pick ups are solid black and say "EMG-HZ"
This is about all the information I have so far. Like I said, It looks like it's probably a DKMG Dinky, but what throws me off is I cannot find this type of serial number online. I'd like to know where it was made, what the body is made of (I think Alder), what the neck is made of etc...
I'd appreciate any help. Thanks!
*I can post pics if anybody is interested.
