    ibelieve i have a jackson dk3 which was made in the usa.it has a contoured body an a blue transparant flame look finish.i think it is a pro series could anyone confirm this to be true.

    Well, the Pro series is Japanese, and the DK3 was indeed Japanese. Pics?

      I don't know how to put a pic up is there any chance it could be USA made or have I been wrong for 16 years?
      I have looked at pictures of other dk3 but they don't have the contoured body or same colour as mine could you tell me how to put pictures up I am not very good at computers.

        i pulled the neck off and it says atx 1999 8-3 222 i think its japanese made only ever sold in europe new zealand and australia.the neck has kk crossed out and a serial number in red ink and atx hand written

          To post a pic you first need to load them on a site such as photobucket, tinypic etc. and then copy the link here.

          There were a number of models that weren't released in North America and don't appear in catalogues, so you may have one.

          Is there a serial number?
          96xxxxx, 97xxxxx and 98xxxxx serials oftentimes don't indicate '96, '97 and '98.

            The DK3 and ATX are H/S/H configuration. Both are made in Japan, but I believe the ATX was made for the Australian or European market.

                Well, you yourself said you think it's a Pro series, which has never been USA. Professional = Japan. Unless it says Made In USA, it's not.
