  • Hello from newbie

Hi all, just joined the forum although I have been a Charvel owner since 1987. I have 3 Charvels among my collection of guitars and another on the way.

My oldest one is a white 1987 Model 2 which I have modifed with an OFR bridge, Tonezone pickup and a black pickguard. I also have a blue 1988 model 3 which again I modified with a Fred pickup at the bridge and routed the body to fit a PAF Pro at the neck. It used to have a 1980's Schaller Floyd Rose II but I've recently fitted a Floyd FRT1000 which is one of the Korean Floyds which I'm pretty impressed with. I also have a White Charvel DST Star with the single pickup with a pink PAF Pro fitted.

I have just ordered a San Dimas Pro Mod Warren Demartini Sig Snake which is currently winging its way to me and should be with me over the weekend! I've been a fan of Ratt and Warren since "back in the day" and have longed for one of his signature Charvels for some time so to say I'm excited is an understatement!!

When it arrives I'll put up a "family photo".

              96xxxxx, 97xxxxx and 98xxxxx serials oftentimes don't indicate '96, '97 and '98.

Also....great little collection and also love the ADA MP-1 / Quadraverb combo. Got one myself, maybe we'll have to share some settings!

Thanks Kamanda. I had an ADA back in the 80's when they came out with a Midiverb but regrettably sold it as I stopped playing for a long period. When I got back into guitar again (luckiliy I didn't sell any guitars!) I really regretted sell the ADA. I spent years scouring the net for a reasonably priced one as they are releatively rare over here and this eventually came up as a whole rack for sale, so I have retired my Marshall DSL for a while and have been getting back into the 80's!! I just hope it doesnt go wrong as it looks like I have little or no chance getting it repaired over here in the UK!

Thanks for sorting the images out by the way. I used the wrong link and because you have to wait for it to be moderated didn't realise my mistake.
