  • Charvel 475 Deluxe

I just got this lovely lady in the mail today...

    1990 (I believe) Charvel 475 Deluxe.

    Schaller FR

Original pups are no more -... replacing them are a SD SH-4, a SD Hotrails in the middle, and a Lace-Sensor in the bridge

I lowered the action down to .042" (I have never bought a guitar in my life where they didn't have the action set higher than I play... same when I try others guitars ALMOST always) and no buzzing. Frets look literally brand new, which is amazing.

I think this really adds to my collection.

The pickups sound fantastic clean or distorted. Excellent note seperation even with a lot of gain added! Stays in tune very well.

I really dig crackle finishes, and sparkly ones (I have a Gretsch Sparkle Jet a la Billy Zoom)...

Super Clean also. A case queen, for a 1990. Looks near new.

      What happened to the paint?

What happened to the fingerboard? Looks like someone used Pledge on it and got the white gunk stuck in the pores.

I knew a guy that had a white crackle back in the day. He wouldnt let anybody else touch it. He did not even play it. He would just pose with it trying to look like a bad ass
