    FOTN will make custom covers if you wish.
    96xxxxx, 97xxxxx and 98xxxxx serials oftentimes don't indicate '96, '97 and '98.

      I'll have a look this evening Thank you

      I should receive this 24 fret neck during the week.
      Any idea from which Jackson it could come based on the finish and white Jackson logo (even if it could have been customized from A to Z)

        No markings on the neck heel?
        Looks familiar, shouldn't be hard to narrow that one down with a check of the catalogues from the '90s.

            Looks like a neck off of a DX2... around 1996/97 I would guess.

                Yes, the Japanese Professional's were quality guitars.

                  Just double check that neck is a 25.5" scale. The 24.75" scale Fusions at the time featured close together dots at fret 12 and 24

                    Closer dots indicate Japanese manufacture, nothing to do specifically with Fusions. Dots further apart indicate Indonesian or Korean.

                      It should be delivered by Friday or Saturday morning.

                      Measures should be like these ...
                      25.5" = 64.7cm
                      24.75" = 62.865cm

                      That kind of measure I never took before today. I learnet sometimes based on this ...

                      I was doing a test on my Kelly I was surprised It could be 'longer' than the 25.5 / 64.7cm :/

                      *still learning*

                        I agree with rjohnstone, mid-late '90s DX2 Cherry Sunburst.

                          I am trying to get a JT 580 tremolo...

                          I have no idea what to choose between the following options :

                          There are two options for the nut width. PLEASE SPECIFY WHICH YOU WANT!

                          Narrow Nut width is 1 5/8" (41mm). String to string spacing at nut is 1 3/8" (35mm).
                          Wide Nut width is 1 11/16" (43mm). String to string spacing at nut is 1 7/16" (36.5mm).

                          Oh la la :/ It will depend of what I'll get on the neck I'll mount.

                          I'll receive DX2 neck and another one which is not identified at all but 25.5" (in theory)

                            Jackson necks are typically 1 11/16" nut width.

                                If you're staying with black hardware, use the nut that is already on the neck.
                                Jackson lock nuts are not the same as Floyd Rose lock nuts.
                                Jackson lock nuts tend to be lower profile where as the Floyd version are taller.
                                The Floyd version would require some minor wood work to the nut shelf to make it sit at the proper height.
