  • Charvel, gold, or just plain ole junk?

Found this little gem not far from my house but haven't bought it yet. Seller states that it has the original wiring but not the original pick ups. It looks nice but I'm curious if it is a Charvel or if its junk? Maybe it is something else that is cool. Any ideas?

Looks kinda cool, but nothing about it looks Charvel.

Yah, the big headstock is a giveaway. But hey, the neck-through construction looks cool,
and the Noiseless PUPS are worthwhile. What's he asking?

Definitely not a Charvel, but it does look cool with the neck-thru and hardtail. And the Fender Noiseless pups are nice (either vintage or hot, not sure which ones are in there).
If it's cheap enough and plays well, go for it.

Japanese- Suntech? Maya? Satellite? Seems like there were quite a few making neck through 70's headstock strats. Start with googling those.

Wondering if anybody had any ideas because it looks like the name started with a C according to the headstock?

Yup, looks like a Cort to me. They have built some sweet guitars (under more then just there name) over the years, $100 is a fine deal

For a hundred bucks, why not go for it? As long as the neck's not goofed up and
the truss rod works, you've got a nice platform for a project there...

Dude, you really want that for $100.

Those old growth handcrafted 70's neckthrus are pretty amazing.
