J90 pickup?

My j90 does not sound like my j90c. It is weak sounding. Clean sounding.

Have you wired it right to the jack? Sounds like something in the wiring. Maybe only one coil is working or its wired out of phase?

Of course the J90 is weaker than the J90C. The C has a ceramic magnet and is higher output.

It's an Alnico 5 vs a Ceramic, it wouldn't make a 'huge' difference in the actual output, not enough to call one 'clean' and 'weak' anyways. Jackson lists these as being the same resistance.

Resistance doesn't matter much. It's known that the C is higher output. Though if the regular version is a lot weaker than the C, there might be a problem with the pickup.
