That's more like it, now I'm seeing some names I remember! I admit, I wasn't active on here for a few years but was pretty disappointed when I got back on a few months ago, so slow in here now. But I will certainly try to do my part and go on here more often and post.
What was the C/J split you guys are talking about? Is Bill Z still around? He was always good for a laugh.Unleash the fury.....Texas style!

I was browsing some Facebook guitar groups and was reminded of a silly gripe. An OP will post their guitar or their question, and there's always at least one delinquent who posts an unsolicited, unrelated photo of their own guitar.
"Nice Martin acoustic! Here is my Squier Strat."
Desperate bid for attention, lack of social calibration, moron behind the keyboard, or combination of all?

Saw one guy post a USA Jackson Soloist, don't even remember if there was a question about it, then some moron posts a pic of his guitar in the same thread and says his is similar... it was an import Dinky, not a USA Soloist, and not even the same color, so how exactly was it similar? I just usually delete posts like that and figure they can post their own thread if they really want everyone else to see it.I feel my soul go cold... only the dead are smiling.

I agree, the derailing poster should just start their own thread! It's just as easy, and it may get even MORE attention/likes/comments since it won't be buried in someone else's unrelated thread! Ughh, Facebook... the domain of socially inept morons...
It happens a lot with pet photo threads but I won't complain at the chance to see pics of animals of all kinds. I'd like to think all animals are beautiful and don't want to spoil the mood of a thread dedicated to sentient beings, but I can't always say the same thing about guitars/possessions as there can be some clunkers, and because they're non-sentient, they won't get their feelings hurt by negative vibes on Facebook.

Some of the JCF thread derailments have been epic and fun. But yeah the big honkin' pic of your shitty mid-range guitar is lame. If in doubt I usually just post a link._________________________________________________

I guess that would happen here too. People would call them on it and you'd get a "sorry, I didn't read the other posts/pages before responding"Hail yesterday
