  • is this Kelly fake?

That logo on the headstock is really weird...

Looks legit to me, but $600 US is way more than I'd spend on it
I live on the edge of danger facing life and death every single day.....then I leave her at home and go disarm bombs.

I'm with you man, headstock shape, truss cover, and logo all do not look right to me.

        Looks good to me.
Can't see which tremolo it has... Is there a 'Jackson' logo on the trem?
        A serial would be helpful.
        96xxxxx, 97xxxxx and 98xxxxx serials oftentimes don't indicate '96, '97 and '98.

I will ask for more photos. Meainwhile if you think is legit, what model do you think it is? I've tried looking on google for any guitar with this characteristics and I couldn't find it. Same logo design, same headstock shape (check it's a little bigger), shark inlays, 24 fret, mic switch type, jackson humbuckers

Until I get a serial and/or find out which tremolo it is I don't know. I'm leaning towards a late '90s-early 2000's Indian made dealer run model.
There were a lot of those models at that time that were exclusive to dealers such as Guitar Center, Musicians Friend etc.

Could also be a model that wasn't released in the US or Canada considering it's in South America.

I can't comment on the guitar. But I have never seen a Jackson logo'd case with metal trim on the sides like this one. I like it, just never seen it. Has any one else seen this before?

Headstock looks odd because it is partly covered by that fur liner. Someone changed (or should I say looted) pickups, toggle switch and truss rod cover for sure. Tremolo looks like Schaller but it could be a copy also.

I am guessing that it could be KE-5FR.

I have never seen case like that before.

Looks like the cheaper JT500 trem which looks similar to the Schaller.

I want to say I've seen them, but I can't be sure.

A KE5FR with a swapped tremolo and pickups crossed my mind, but I couldn't see a serial on the fret board.

Are we looking at a bolt on, or neck thru, azag?

Look at where the J meets the truss cover, and how wide the cover is at the top.

The logo or truss cover shape doesn't raise any warning signs to me on a possible limited run or non-North American market guitar from 15-20 years ago. The rest of the guitar appears too perfect in all areas to be a fake in my opinion.

Get a picture of the rear control cover if possible. The fakes never get those the correct shape.
