Jackson JDR 94 upgrade

Hello Guys,


I have a Jackson JDR 94 japanese that was put aside for a while, and now I'm coming back to play and I took the guitar to play and the bridge is really rusty... When i was switching the strings, one of the saddles broke up.


Other than that, the guitar is perfect, has no scratches, the neck is perfect, very thin. Anyway ... I really like this guitar and I'm in the following dilemma:


Do I get another guitar or do upgrade it?


My upgrade would include a new floyd rose, and new pickups (on bridge I already have a dimebucker).


I'm thinking of putting an INVADER - NECK SH-8N, and possibly a Shr-1n Hot Rails in the middle. I mainly play metal and hard rock.


I would like opinions ... for this investment range is worth buying another guitar? I suspect not because with this value I find it difficult to find one with the same grip, but I want to hear opinions.


With regard to the floyd rose, I have no idea how to choose a new one, does anyone know a guide or can help?

My first Jackson was a cheap JDR from MF. It was a made in India model. Cool looking with reverse headstock, shark fins, but the electronics were awful. I upgraded all the guts with an EMG KH20 kit. It breathed new life into it and silenced the bad buzzing and feedback. The 81 was actually too hot. My drummer now owns the guitar. He has had it for 15 years. Still plays great and has killer metal tones. It's a one trick pony.

A Schaller Floyd should be a direct fit for the current JT500 tremolo.

The JDR 94 was part of their Concept line. It was made in Japan mostly in 1994 but a few may have been made late 1993. I have two of them and they make very good guitars to customize however you like. You definitely have a great platform there to build from. Enjoy the process!
