  • The Gary Moore/Jackson story

    Just a quick question:

Do anyone in here know the story behind Gary Moore and how he ended playing Jackson for a while?
Im currently working on my bends/pre-bends and playing “The Loner” and in the video he uses a white Jackson of some sort.

Tried to search the forum, but there is no real story behind it that I could find.
Just curious, that’s all. Have a nice weekend.

I think he was more known for playing the red/white Charvels he was famous for live, but in the studio maybe he used that Jackson.

There are some videos of him using a Jackson live, but not many.

These 2 Charvels were parts from other guitars put together, but he did visit the Charvel factory so he probably had some custom made ones too.

Here are some photo's of some Jackson guitars he used.

And in this video Gary uses 2 Charvels.

The credits on the After The War album have Jackson as his brand even though he's holding an LP in a photo.

Emerald is the guy who knows this stuff real well. I know Gary had two Soloists (both white, one hss, one hs) and obviously the Charvels..
Popular is not the same as good
Rare is not the same as valuable
Worth is what someone will pay, not what you want to get
