Anyone shipped a Dinky in a case recently? How much did it weigh? Dimensions of it boxed up? Looking to plug in an estimate in FedEx, UPS, or USPS.

The newest type of case is 17x45x6 inches and with a guitar in it its about 8 Kilograms if i remember correctly. If you put that in a cardboard box its a tad bigger offcourse.
Talking about this case: https://www.zzounds.com/item--JAC2996100106
The g&g case is a bit smaller. But im not sure if Jackson still uses them.Last edited by ed; 04-08-2018, 01:11 PM.

All I can tell you is that I just got a new gator case from sweetwater and the bx it came in was huge.... so if your going ups it would be oversize and if I remember right oversize starts as a 70 pound package price, but things may have changed over the years....A few Charvels, a bunch of Jacksons, JVM full stack, valve king half stack and an 4000 watt PA for a home stereo, my neighbors love me....

I shipped a neckthru in a G&G style case with full insurance for about $80 using FedEx. Shipping was based on the package dimensions as the whole thing only weighed 24 lbs.
All carriers are going to charge you based on dimensional weight, not actual weight because guitars, even in a case, don't weigh very much..
So measure your shipping box and plug that into the online calculator and you'll have your shipping price.-Rick
