A local person offered to trade me his black Jackson SL2H for both my 2009 USA Charvel So-Cal (polar white) and my 2011 Japanese Charvel So-Cal (candy red). All guitars come with hardshell cases. (The USA Charvels didn't come with matching original hardcases so I'm including the G&G case I bought for that guitar.)
According to him and from what I can see in his photos, his SL2H is mint. My USA So-Cal is maybe 90% and my Japanese So-Cal is probably 98%.
I don't play my So-Cals as much as I probably should, even though they might have the most comfortable necks I've ever played, with that amazing "bare" feel to the maple. Yet, a weird part of me feels like I'd be losing, despite the retail value of a USA So-Cal was way less than the retail value of an SL2H.
If it were an SL2HT or an SLATQH, I would probably be jumping all over the trade.
Just help me bounce some thoughts around. Neither of us is in any particular rush to get rid of our guitars.
