Hi all,
My Charvel had kind of a bad wiring job before I owned it and I've been trying to fix it ever since I but I honestly don't know much about wiring these guitars. I'll try posting some visual aid so you can see what I'm talking about. It has what I believe is a Bill Lawrence placed at the bridge with a probably not stock 5way switch. When I first got it it only had one position that worked so I took out the switch that was in there, after several attempts at wiring that one in, and put in a standard DiMarzio 5way as a temporary bandaid and got all the positions to at least make sound until I can figure this out. Basically I'm wondering if it's possible I need to get different hardware, like a push/pull volume pot, a specific 5 way switch( I'd like to try and get the original 5 positions it was capable of if at all possible or at least something comparable), or even a different bridge pick-up. Or if I can even do it with what I have. I'm totally open to any input you guys might have, thanks for your time!
