Does anyone feel my pain?
And hows about a short scale Charvel Model A and a reverse head with a wilkenson for me.
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

I love short-scale.

Unfortunately only my Explorers are short-scaled and a bit bulky around my tiny home studio.

I say..

Bring back the Fusion..NOW!!!!

I can imagine a short scale Warrior with the sls headstock, Angled ebony fretboard and pickups and floyd.

Someday.

Really?
Sweet. How bout the SLS headstock? I think it fits on a Warrior.

The SLS headstock is definitely cool on a Warrior! The 1999 and 2000 catalogs have a Custom Shop green flame top Warrior with 22 frets, string-thru TOM, non-slanted board with that headstock.

I have heard members say that the fusion and warrior were discontinued because the quality was so good that they sold fewer USA guitars. But this makes no sense since they don't make either of them like as they were in a USA Select. The Warrior is now 25 1/2 inch scale..
So is it just that it cost more to make any production short scale?
ESP has done quite a few short scales.

I was trying to get 10 dudes to gether to get a Custom Short Scale Soloist together about a month ago, never materialized, but maybe in 2004 I also prefer the 24.75 scale Jack.

holycross: No, you heard right. The early Professional series guitars were made to the same specs as the USA counterparts. Ebony boards, binding, same hardware and everything else. Only the point of origin was different.

It doesn't cost any more or less to make a shorter scale length. They just do the longer one standard. I have no clue why.

I don't like the short scale, feels too sloppy to me. Plus, when I play licks on the upper registers my fingers feel like they're running into each other! I know, it's just me.

I love short scale...even though I love Jacksons I just feel so at home on my Les Paul for that reason.

I'd LOVE to have a short scale hard-tail Rhoads....now that would be cool IMO.

Short scale, SLS headstock w/ Custom Shop logo, Floyd Rose, and EMG's baby! Thinking about a wrap around Pile O' Skulls refin for it too: eat your heart out, xeno! http://www.jacksonguitars.com/resour...arriorPile.jpg Painted pickups, added EMG-89 hum at bridge, painted neck and sides/back.

The pic above me is so awesome that I forgot how to post quotes.
It would look even better in white with black hardware.
