I believe Ellefson was gone in the early 90's to Modulus....then Fender in the last 6 or so years.

Correct me if I'm wrong guys

Why exactly does that make him a sellout?

Yeah he's been on Modulus and Fenders since Youthanasia I think

Funny how he had $$$ for drugs but not basses

Re: mustaine isn\'t the only sell out

He switched because Jackson is FAR from the best bass manufacturer. There are a ton of well known bass companies that make way better basses than Jackson, sorry 'bout that but it's true.

Fender came in and screwed things up again with another fine company. That's why they left Jackson. Nothing to do with selling out.

More like Fender strikes again.

Re: mustaine isn\'t the only sell out

never played a spector,(i'm assuming you mean before kramer) but i've played some fenders, vintage and newer, and IMO in no way are they better than jackson basses. there's alot of people on this board who say jackson guitars rules but don't like the basses and i cannot understand why. personally, i wouldn't play anything else!
btw, the sellout part comes from the fact i saw them at house of blues at myrtle beach in 2001( the year posted for the pics on the site) and i don't recall david playing any fenders!

Actually, Dave's first bass was a Fender - which he stole from his high school.
