Re: Easton Guitars

I e-mailed KEvin on monday about my SL2H-MAH and he replied the next day. When you mail him, you should get an auto-reply immediately saying that they received your mail.

Kevin said that his server had crashed. I bought a new WR-1 from him and sent him a number of emails and he was getting them days later. Once he got them, though, he answered them immediately. Great guy to deal with.

I have bought new guitars from OnlineStageGear.com, DrumCityGuitarLand.com and now Kevin, and I can honestly say that I don't think I have ever had better customer service from any retailers. They're all class acts. I like to spread the business around, so my next one will come from Matt's Music Center.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Matt: In the thread that you posted regarding questions to the Jackson Rep, I asked if they will build any Gibson shaped guitars in the Custom Shop. Once I get a definitive answer, I will probably place a Custom Shop order with you.

            Re: Easton Guitars

Kevin's a cool guy and sent me an eyelet I needed for one of my string-thru Dinkies a few months back. Though, the last email I sent him like two months ago when I was inquiring about a DK-2 neck he had for sale, he never got back to me. I know the email went through, because I got the automated confirming email. Strange, as he has always responded to my emails very quickly, but I got no response from this one. Re: Easton Guitars

Well, anybody can get busy, or have email problems as mentioned above. So you never emailed him again about it? I'd just resend the original email with a note that you never got a reply and he'd
              have been right on it.

I bought a USED hardshell case for $35 and he gave me the same attention and courtesy I'd expect buying a $1,000 guitar. Also, shipping was HALF the measley $13 he quoted me, for a RHOADS case! He only charged me $7.80 for shipping! That's awesome, as I'd never have questioned $13 shipping, and thought THAT was cheap for a big case! You won't find a more upstanding dealer IMO.

                Re: Easton Guitars

Sorry, someone sent me a ton of pics that added up to about 5mb of space and the email server shut off for some lame reason.

Hey guys, thanks for the kind words. Oh, on the neck email, I may have deleted it accidentally when doing the junk mail deletions. I'm getting about 100 emails a day and some are junk mail, so I have to go thru and check em off and I may have checked it by mistake and not seen it. Sorry for the trouble sir. Lemme know if you're still needing it. I still have a DK2 neck here

Thanks, Kev! Actually, I don't need it right now, as I've decided to go with a different neck with straight string pull and no locking nut for this project now, but I may be looking for another one in the future for something else. I'll be sure to get back to you and let you know when the time comes.

                    Re: Easton Guitars

I've been meaning to put a good word in for Kevin lately, I've bought two guitars from him and have been very pleased both times. They weren't very expensive guitars and I felt he gave me the same time as if I'd bought a USA. Guitars were very well described upfront, no suprises. He even threw in a Jackson catalog last time. And if you have questions about anything, who better to ask?

I'm glad we have a couple good dealers around still, give Kevin a shot sometime.

Hey Fritz, I just saw your post regarding Gibson body shapes. In a conversation I had with Brian McDonald a couple days ago he confirmed that they won't build Gibson body shapes any longer. Hope this helps,
