I really appreciate that, and it really is going to help push me to the next level of luthiery.
The nucleur accident thing is exactly what I envisioned, as I hacked at my dead grandmothers coffee table to create that beast. I was rocking out to GWAR and smoking foilies at the same time.
Actually, for this guitar, I used a 69 Fender Mustang (non surf style) MIJ reissue neck, from the anniversary series ..was 1997 I believe.
I made the body out of my grandmothers old coffee table.
As many of you may know, I have an up an coming guitar repair video/guidebook. It includes a section on how to make guitars, and repair guitars, out of household goods..mainly cofee tables and doors.
The forementioned guitar is just one small exmaple of what you have to learn from Steve Rose' series.
This is just a small part of the many great offerings my books and videos will have. Hopefully I can include Charvel750's broken winged Rhoads, if I can get his attention with my repair idea.
