What's wrong with me? I like big frets now!

I always hated jumbo frets until I took a chance on a Model 2 last Christmas. Now when I go into a guitar store or pawn shop, I find that I really don't like the small, Fender-styled frets anymore. I find that I can actually play better on the big ones. Anybody else ever go through a "transformation" like this?

I guess the best part is that it opens up many more possibilities for me in buying a new guitar.

Unless you're a purist, jumbo frets will create easier playing conditions. The playbility is far easier to execute and, most necks that have jumbo frets have that great radius profile that allows for more comfort, faster speed, and general ease of playing.

I played strats once upon a time...but that was just until I discovered jumbo-frets, flatter radii and wider necks. The bigger frets and the flatter radius really work together to form easier-playing fretboards.

I think you can get slightly better intonation with smaller frets, but I've also become a jumbo-fret guy. I'm so used to Jackson frets now that it feels weird to play a Fender or PRS with those small frets.

I like both, but I seem to prefer the smaller frets. My Charvel and Jacksons have jumbo, but my Carvins have medium jumbo with 15" radius, and my Hamer's got medium jumbo and 14.5" radius. My Fender also has the mediums, but with a 9.5" radius, though I do with the radius were bigger.
