Well Joe, I'll tell you what. I'll do it. I'll let you send it to me, and I'll even eat the shipping. You just send me the $350 to have it fixed... no, wait, you're a bro so let's say..... $250 (I'll eat the extra $100 out of udder selflessness for a bro on my part) and you send it insured. I'll even let you send it 7 day UPS ground as I'm not in a huge hurry for it. Please email me for shipping/packing instructions.
It's the least I could do for a brutha in need.
Joe...man that sucks.
I'de grab the wing, take it to a paint center, have them match the color. Then I would take two wood screws, paint them with that color matching paint...
Next I would add some similar colored food coloring to some wood glue. Glue the pieces together, put the srews in, where you think the structural integrity would be best upheld.
Next, grab some duct tape, wrap it around AFTER the glue has dried. Now grab some masking tape, put it around the edges of the duct tape. Paint the duct tape with the color matched-at-the-paint-center panit, and then wait about 6 hours so it is good and dry. Then remove the masking tape. (Don't remove the duct tape now, that would defeat the repair). And boom...you're all done.
I'm thinking of making a book/video about guitar repair. Lee Garver ain't got **** on me.
$600 or so, and what good would it do? You're proably not increasing the value. You said it plays and sounds fine. For $600 I'd just buy a different guitar and not bother with it.
I'm now thinking a K.K. Downing mini V should be the way to go... without the little studs on the body, of course!
I feel my soul go cold... only the dead are smiling.

I'd definitely have it restored Joe. If it were an import I'd say maybe experiment with it, but not with a US Rhoads. The repair would involve squaring up that edge, cutting a piece of matching wood to fit, doweling it in place, and shaping it. Since that is a USA model getting the paint code shouldn't be a problem so you'd just need to seal&prime the new wood, blend the color in that area and re-clear the whole thing. If done properly nobody would ever be able to tell it happened. If I were bidding the job I'd say around $350.00 or so and for that guitar it would be well worth it IMHO.
My goal in life is to be the kind of asshole my wife thinks I am.
If you plan on keeping it (...I would), restore all the way. Otherwise, you'll just sink money into it that you're not likely to get back out. I'd suspect the refin will be more expensive than the wing repair, though.
