surf caster

Bought a surf caster a few weeks ago .It is either a ht are a sc1 ,has the lipstick single coil and a hum. Tail peice with C cut out, no push pull out of phase knob,the sr# is 384806
Is this a import or US ? What year was it made?

I believe that all of the surfcasters were imports. They were made under both Charvel and Jackson names. The earlier ones were Charvels and then changed over to the Jackson name a little bit later. That would help narrow down the year.
