  • Jackson SS?

    Hey all,

I was browsing a webpage for used guitars and found this:

It is advertised only as "Jackson SS, short-scale model, unusual, -96, red met."

Does anyone know anything about these? It's the first time I've seen one I think.

      Thanks VG. =)

You wouldn't happen to know type of construction, country of origin, pickups, etc..?

Last wednesday i was in that store, looking at that guitar!
They had a great Charvel model 6 i had to buy...
The Jackson appeared to be in good condition.
It also looks much better in real life than in that picture!

Hmm. I guess I'll just have to call the shop and ask questions about it. I like the TOM/Stopbar combo, but would like to know more. Too bad it's in met red though, as I dislike both metallic finishes and red guitars...

Wow, that's pretty cool! I don't think I've ever seen that one before either. Kinda has a Les Paul Jr./Hamer kinda vibe going on.

...and I love red guitars... Especially with maple fretboards...

Can't say I'm too crazy about the bridge though...

                            Re: Jackson SS?

The info came from the old MoAIP, it might be incorrect, but I have no way of knowing for sure.

But in Kevin's defense, I'm sure I know why Kevin might have some inconsistencies in the data from the MoAIP. It's the same reasoning that I would have incorrect stuff on my site. When you're in a crunch for time, you start re-using web pages. Not the whole thing, but the part that has your format coded. He may have neglected to delete or add something. In this case, it might even be a typo.
