absolutely with the crossed swords as well.

think about it, van halen , then rhoads, then it was ratt who probably did the most for charvel jackson guitars. quiet riot used gibson and washburn, and motley crue did not use them at all
as far as i saw. i owned one of mick mars' pre-pros but i never saw a picture with him using it\
or any other one. so since robbin put the big red on the map, warren did just as much with the swords and blood drip. o.k.? whaddya say?

I really don't see doing JCF 12fret guitar at all.

Also,I think it doesn't have to be only star's replicas.

JCF02 is a replica of Robbin but next one can be something different.
Something that has meaning to what Jackson is all about.

What about missing "Grover's" secret guitar?
Build something what Grover really wanted to do if he would have been staying with the Jackson in 90s.

I'm with 'ya, Tommy. I'd take almost any Dimartini or Lynch, as they were pretty much all killer. But over the years so many of them have been made (real Charvies, GMW replicas, Waynes, ESP copies, et al), that they're almost commonplace now. I'd think you want to do something cool, historically significant, and relatively rare. Then again, though, if it were a real strathead, I guess that'd fit the rarity bill. So, maybe, yeah.

There's a lot of other choices, too. Via's green meanie and Soloists, even the "Crossroads" strat? The Jakes and JB Soloists mentioned above? Heck, how about the early flyer hot rod flames strat meant for Beck? TS bullseye? On and on. Many, many choices in the Strat or Soloist/Dinky vein.

Lots of interesting ideas here. Here're a couple that (unfortunately) don't fit the superstrat mold but would be interesting nonetheless. Well, at least to me. [img]images/icons/smile.gif[/img]

1. A Phil Collen 29-fret archtop (ala the prototype Brooks is selling on the 'bay right now) - Phil is probably Jackson's longest-running endorser (someone correct me if that's wrong) so it would make sense that one of his models would have some historical significance. This one in particular would fill a spot similar to the missing link RR.

2. The Charvel star - Everyone and their dog has copied this but the design (AFAIK) originated with Charvel. That seems relatively significant. [img]images/icons/smile.gif[/img]

Not only did Carlos play a Jackson rounded V in the beginning, he also used import Charvels and is now endoresed by Jackson. His latest favorite stage guitar is a dual hum Soloist in transference green/blue with the pearl flame inlay on the neck. Kicks bututti.

I always loved Carlos' old roundhorn V. I'd guess that's a no-go, though, as a verboten "Gibson" shape. (BTW, IMHO, that's [img]graemlins/bs.gif[/img] as the old roundhorn V is fairly different than a true Gibby V. Certainly more so than the Y2KV.) And, yeah, he's a current and long-time endorser. As Tommy notes, however, not in his early years.
