Been a quiet year for me in terms of gear acquisition. Got a Soloist (SL1) shipped accross the pond courtesy of OSG. Great playing guitar. That's the highlight of the year, other than that I've bought a few stompers, got rid of a few bits of gear I didn't need, replaced my cables and bought a new strap. A decent multi-track might be on it's way with a bit of luck too.

WOW!

thatis a lot of gears!

And itwas you that bought the Grosh guitar.
I was wondering when I saw the picture of the guitaron Grosh Site several weeks ago.

If you ever decide to sell it, please let me know.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">A friend of mine had it custom ordered. He was thinning the herd and offered it to me. I recently sold my Yngwie to a JCF member because I really love the Grosh.

Re: Were you a gear whore this year?

Wow, I thought Tim had had a busy year until I read Newcs list...that´s just insane!

I´ve only bought one guitar this year, a PCS Collen, and sold none. I guess I wasn´t a gearwhore guitar-wise...I have however bought and sold a couple of preamps, but that´s just about it.

Re: Were you a gear whore this year?

I bought 7 USA Soloists (some SD, some late 80's-early 90's, and some new ones), a USA Rhoads (90), DKMG, several guitar bodies, a bunch of parts (trems, pups, pots, etc), sold a Jem7VWH, sold a ROland VS-1680. I have a few guitars (all USA Jacksons) still on the way. One SD and one 87 Soloist. My wife would say it was a busy year. I'd just say that I felt like I had to make a complete and thorough transition from Ibanez Jems to Jackson Soloists. Finally, a guitar that stays in tune, a decent trem, and MUCH more versatile than any Ibanez.

Hey!..did you buy this on ebay or was it you that listed one not to long ago? I saw one in the last month and it didn't make reserver. I don't believe I recall a relist was done for it.

I was wondering if you can comment on that fretless Agile Les Paul too? I've been thinking about one for some time now.

Not many purchases this year but I was able to shorten my dream list. Purchased a 1983 Charvel sd strat head. They are like a fine wine they only get better with time.

Wow, some of you guys are total gear junkies. I only bought a couple things.

1. USA Jackson SL2H (Thanks again Matt @ OLSG)
2. ESP KH-2 used but MINT! Only 3 months old
3. Johnson J station (Pretty good for $99.00)

Holy shit Tim and Newc! You guys ought to make a profession out of trading and dealing!

This year I aqcuired a San Dimas Randy Rhoads and a custom shop King V and I kinda messed around with a few stomp boxes. Bought a few, sold a few, nothing special.

Charvelguy: Who were you asking the questions to?
If it was me, I did list the Jem on the bay but it didn't hit my reserve. A dude contacted me and we worked a deal for it. I only sold it because I had bought all of those Soloists and would probably never had played the Jem again. No comparison in my book. I do have an SRV Start which I'd probably never sell. Its just the best sounding and playing Strat I've ever had my hands on. I used to use it for drop D stuff. It's back up to standard tuning a half step down and I use a Washburn Nuno N4 for drop D until I get one of my Soloists setup for it. Then again, if I happen to buy the Rhoads I'm wanting, I may use one of my RR's for downtuned stuff. Still have my Universe multi color for the really low stuff. Hope it was me you were asking the ???to. If not, I just made a fool of myself
Nothing new there
