Guitar of the month???

Hi Guys,

Just finished this guitar, giving credit to a early 80's ft worth (Damaged and repaired) Charvel Neck. It's for the birthday of one of my closest friends.

Specs:

-Charvel neck, maple/Rosewood
-Korina 2 piece rare figured Korina Warrior body
-1976 Dimarzio Super Distortion and Duncan invader neck
-Recessed figured Korina elec. cover
-Mahogany jack cover with Switchcraft jack
-CTS vol pot with Skull knob
-2 way switch (neck or bridge)

I love it...

Well, it's kinda, sorta spammy to be touting your own work for GOTM. Not in the formal "ban me" like sense, though. [img]graemlins/images/icons/tongue.gif[/img] But he's a newbie, so we should cut him some slack. [img]images/icons/grin.gif[/img]

I love the body but that neck has gotta GO!!!! It's kinda like putting a Yugo hood ornament on a Mercedes. Know what I mean? Even a cheap Jackson DK2 neck would be worlds better!Otherwise cool guitar bro.

Hmmmm, I thought those US Charvel necks had a pretty good reputation. It was busted pretty bad and I repaired it to it's current state (it was broken). Reason for the tip is that it was broken as well, and to keep the original black and Charvel logo I flattened it down as esthetic it could be. Otherwise a full neck job was needed, and not really worth the effort as I gather from you! As far as the bridge choice goes (Schaller 456), my buddy wanted fine tuning and no string bend problems whem playing multiple strings. He had a Tone Zone as bridge PU, and wanted to try something else so I put in the old SD. The invader is just a test...
