The original guitar is long gone, burned up in the rehersal studio fire back in '87 or so.

Danny Spitz had two turtles dinky Rhoads, both the same. He also had a soloist with 1 hum and one big turtle. They were destroyed in a studio fire during the recording of Persistance of Time, so I guess around 89/90. I have some hardcopy pics of both but no scanner - The pic listed above is pretty good but the colours don't look quite right. There are several others out there - there was a single hum soloist in the gallery, there was a 2 hum soloist with zig zag inlays at guitarcrazy.au but that address doesn't seem to exist anymore. Also, Dans music in Hawaii has an CS string thru XTRR but the paint has been polished through in a couple of places so I left it (esp at $2000!)

Oh - by the way, Jackson won't make a replica cos apparently they won't make any more guitars which have copyrighted images in the graphics, even if you obtain permission.....(no more Hellraiser, Simpsons, Roadrunner, Coors etc)

Thanks for all the input guys -- I remember that axe from the old days and maybe someday I'll make my own version (as it contains two things I'm a sucker for: Jacksons and TMNTurtles).

I always loved Danny's Dinky Rhoads models. Very sweet!!! [img]images/icons/grin.gif[/img] I think he had a Soloist with the Turtles on it, too.
