black binding on maple fretboard - yes or no?

hey guys, I'm planning to order a custom guitar (yes, it will be a Jackson [img]images/icons/wink.gif[/img] ) with a maple fretboard (no inlays, PC-1 style). Now I'm not sure if I should add a black binding. Actually I like bindings on the fretboard, but I never saw a guitar with a black one on a maple fretboard and I'm afraid I may not like the look. Does anybody have pictures of this combination???

I think black binding with ebony sharks would look awesome but can't picture it with no inlays. I'd mock something up in photoshop before I made the final decision.

Hmm, without any inlays of any kind I'm not sure how good it would look. At least having dots would help, though sharks would be better.

I am getting black binding on maple sometime 'soon' but with sharks for sure, should be cool!

I think that it would look pretty cool with black binding and no inlays. As long as you've got white side dots to tell where you are, you should be okay.

Look on page 4 of the Jackson custom shop archives. There is a yellow bengal star with maple fretboard and black binding. Looks good to me.

I like it a lot with fins but looking at the PC-1 neck I just got from Joe, I don't think I'd care for it w/o inlays.
