Alright, I finally did it...I ordered my first Jackson

I was originally going for a DXMG, but there weren't any in stock from guitarxpress. It must have been a sign, because I changed my mind and decided on a DK2 in Trans Blue. I did, in fact, order it from Lloyd from GuitarXpress.com.

It won't ship for about a week on account of NAMM, but that's cool. I'm told the guitar will be inspected and have the action set up before it's shipped.

By the way, I'm getting married on the 24th of this month, so I'll be getting my guitar just in time for the honeymoon, hopefully. Thankfully, Steph(my fiance') is very excited at my purchase. She plays bass guitar.

Thanks, guys for all your suggestions and answers to my questions. If I can do anything to help out through my Jackson experiences to come, I'll do my best.

Congrats on the guitar and getting married. I know you've been doing your homework on finding the right guitar for you, and I agree with your choice.

...on one other note - that hopefully may help someone else - Lloyd told me that all their DK2's with the Trans finishes have the beveled(or scooped as I called it earlier) area on the front of the lower cutaway.

I saw one of these on Ebay about a week ago.Trans Blue w/ EMGs & black hardware. It sold for $265.

It looks like they did more than change the pickups. The neck & headstock do not have binding and the Sharkfins are reversed (upsidedown). I'm guessing they put a different neck on that guitar. Still that's not a bad deal for a parts guitar with EMGs.
