• RR24, come in RR24 ... RR24, do you read me....

Bad news on the RR24 - upon further inspection by John Walker (at the show), the proto has some problems. Launching this product will now be delayed - which is why you don't see the sample at the show. The factory was running late, so by the time I saw the guitar (for literally about 2 minutes) it was placed on a pallet and shipped to NAMM - where John had more time to check it out. Anyway, here are the specs, just to give you a little taste of what's in store, since this has been the #1 most requested model by you guys! It will have 1 Duncan Diablo, neck thru, Duncan Firestorm switch, 1 volume knob, neck-thru body with Floyd Rose.

Anyway, kinda sucks the launch is delayed... but at least you know it's on the horizon...

LATA!

Sucks to hear that... what kind of problems did the proto have?

But those are some nice specs!
Now please can you make it string-thru too?

*quietly says to himself: "Why have I never heard of a Duncan Diablo before?"*

*leaves to check the Seymour Duncan website*

Sounds cool.

Forgive my ignorance, but is it a USA or import? Any projected date set for general release?

This sounds awesome but could someone tell me what a firestorm switch is? I may have to save some cash for this model.

I think the SJRKB1 will be 24 frets with string thru - but, you'd have to be into the pentagram inlays...

To hit the price point, it will be an import guitar. Think RR5 with modifications.

By the way - one problem with the proto is the pinstripes looked wrong. I had it spec'd as Black with Silver Pinstripes... anyway, they got the color wrong and the lines weren't tight enough.

You know what, it might not be the Duncan Diablo, because that's the Scott Ian Custom pickup. There's another name for the pickup, and I can't recall what it is. I've been calling it the Iommi, which it isn't - but it sounds just like one.... Sorry for the confusion.

Couple more questions on the specs.

Will RR24 have bound neck and headstock?
What about electronics route? Frontloader or rearloader?
