Thanks to this thread resurrection I found out that what I considered to be the RR24 prototype (a Rhoads showed at the Summer NAMM 2005, one-hum, string-thru, dark rosewood fretboard with no inlays) actually wasn't!
But it explains why I never found the photos of it in the photos from the NAMMs in 2004.
