<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Actually, they may still pay a royalty. I would assume Fender and Jackson are operating under separate bottom line profit and loss statements, and ergo, are run like two different companies. Jackson may still be "paying" Fender for the strathead; Fender may just be more open to it now than they were pre-buyout.

Kevin, did anybody say anything to them about the 1 3/4" nut width being wrong on the pointies? Hell, I'd rather have a 1 5/8" than a 1 3/4". That one seems like a no-brainer, hope they fix it.

Yeah, the nut size is a weird one. Especially considering they did the Bullseye Reissues so damn well just last year. ...No biggee, though. "A slight gaff. 'tis only a flesh wound." Hopefully, they get the thin neck profile correct.

And Kev: Multi-PU Floyd'd strathead model. And/or green light custom shop strathead orders already, would they?

OK guys... Here's the poop on the strat heads... They're limited editions. The bullseye and the lightning-bolt star you see there is all that is available. The options come with the pointy headstocks. As John Walker said... "Baby steps"...

Overall, I've gotta say, I'm very impressed with what I saw. And yes, by all indications, it seems that they're listening to us.

And what's with the bolt-on necks and strat-style bodies?

THE OPTIONS COME WITH THE POINTY HEADSTOCKS Does this mean you can get a swords graphic on a Charvel pointy for a select price instead of custom shop price? And did anyone play the sword Charvel? How was the neck profile ,was it thin or thick like the stratheads? One more thing ,did anyone see the new string thru Jacksons?

Not yet but Mike Kotzen asked me to hook up with him after NAMM as he wanted to "pick our brains" ..I'll try and bring it up when I do that ..

BTW Greg funny story for you ..

We were in the Dean room looking at the soloist style knock off they had done when the rep came over and looked at my charvel shirt and my badge... he thought I worked at Jackson and made a point to tell me they were discontinuing that headstock and pointed to the new style .....
