Re: Guitar Generator News

Woo hoo! That generator is awesome. MUCH better than Kisikae (or however you spell it). I hate to ask, but is there a possibility of a Kelly model on the way?

    Great job, by the way.

        Re: Guitar Generator News

I would say it is extremely likely that Kellys and Firebirds will be the next shapes added, in that order. My goal is to have them both done by early summer.

My goal for the Kahler/LSR additions is sometime within the next few months. It all depends on how much free time I have. The interface changes I detailed above got done because I happened to have had my master files on my work laptop with me when I was out of town, and I was too cheap to buy the pay-per-view porn in the hotel (see above posts ). I started creating the Kahler illustrations on my home PC, but didn't have those files with me on the road, or that would have gotten done instead. It really depends on circumstances of time, mood, and what files I have handy.

I have to go in to work tomorrow to do some babysitting, so I am hoping to spend some time on the Kahlers.

And if anyone asks why I'm adding Kahlers, it's because I like them.

            <font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">OK, aside from the Kramer Focus 3000 I owned from 87 - 89, I know very little about Kramer guitars...

What is the "Kramer NightSwan pickup thing"?

And where would you want to move the pickups to?

The NightSwan pickups were dual humbuckers in the bridge and middle positions only - nothing in the neck

Being a "Custom Shop Generator", you know you have have the same range of options as the Real Deal, right?

And one small favor - can you darken the Gold hardware a bit? It's coming out more like yellow chrome than gold IMO

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">I suppose at some point I can examine pickup options. I know some of that code is a bit messy, as there are many things to track with the whole 22/24 fret thing. We'll see - it may be easier than I think.

As far as the gold hardware issue... I found it to be a real ***** to get it looking as good as it does. You do a fair amount of graphic work; I'm not sure if you have ever tried to create a gold piece of metal form scratch, but it is tough to get the right look. I don't think I can get that any better than it is unless I buy a plug-in pack that specializes in gold color schemes.

Can't you ever ask for anything easy?
