Diablo,

I just moved to Sharpsburg GA from New Jersey. I'm about 25 minutes south of Atlanta. I might be hitting you up for some Atlanta info from time to time!

Any good guitar shows in Atlanta?

              Thanks

              Ralph

Atlanta Discount Music usually has a lot of new and used amps, like Mesa, VHT, Soldano, etc... Midtown has a good amount of vintage-type stuff, but I doubt that's what you're looking for.

I don't live in Atlanta but in the past 5 years have gotten an early '85 Floyd Soloist and rising sun Strat-head Charvel from stores there. I've also passed on a couple with Kahlers that were quite cheap.

Most people aren't going to tell you about a good source, especially one that's off the beaten path

Yeah, that one had some "undisclosed issues" but they adjusted the price after I got it. The Soloist came from Mars back when they were around. I also got a really nice early Kelly w/ a Floyd and flip-flop magenta finish from an individual in Atlanta. I would guess there are a lot of undiscovered C/J's in the Atlanta area.

rick used to own that kelly if it has purple pinstripes as well...not as many floating as there used to be...seems a guy by the name of lee jackson has a deal with a lot of pawnshops, gets them dirt cheap when they come out and turns around to sell them on ebay for a profit...undisclosed issues on the rising sun?...i wasn't aware of those (i only saw it twice)...i remember galaxy wanting a good bit for it...i never was interested in it cos i like 22 fret guitars...21 screws me up big-time...lol...d.m.
