Re: The Randy Rhoads Grouping....20+ yrs in the making...
Anybody notice that the middle guitar is NOT an LTD model but one of the 6 correct versions Mike Shannon built???........... too cool

Sorry guys...working and didn't get a chance to respond until now.
Stinkbug...I deal with Lee at GMW all the time and not only is he the man but he finished my Polka-Dot V while he was doing his batch and His V's are exact right down to the layout of the dots!!! And they play awesome!!! More importantly, for $2200, compared to @$7000 from Sandoval, you can't go wrong!

Hey Rattlehead...no address for you buddy!
Axegrinder, I hear ya about that LTD. I love that thing. I want that buried with me!!
Donovan, there's a black and gold one on ebay right now that was a NAMM guitar last year. (I would love to get my hands on that too). I want everything that Rhoads shape. I love that shape. It is my favourite of instruments to play.
Hey Mulder, everythings good man. How you doin'? I just got back home saturday from Cali. Ready to do that NE jam session hopefully. Check out the new pic below!!! New addition.
Mordor...I agree with that!!!
Thanks BK. Rune, the picture came out that color due to taking it with incandescent light. It was a lot worse than what you see...Don't be so smart damnit.
Hey Slo....awesome collection. Where did you get your polkadot and what are the numbers of the Rhoads pieces??
Greg..you the man. Great eye. It is the last one Mike did...#6.
Boxcar...even I don't really know that answer although I want the other THREE that were done. What I do know is that there were the LTD's, one with a traditional bridge, one with a Floyd, and then there were the four NAMM LTD's. Those can be considered the most rare but still not as accurate as the Shannon 7 pieces. I'm sure plenty of these guys here know the exact stories and details on the four editions.
Thanks Stuka........Jimmy, I think they were all numbered with an LTD serial#. Even the black one was numbered differently with a PCS# which they no longer make either. But the new addition below, the Road Hazard Rhoads IS #'d with an RR number. Get that. Also something they are not doing any longer..unless perhaps a special order which is what the RHR were. That one is #1.
Here is the new photo with the new addition I was talking about.... Check this out.
On yeah...one more thing...Mike, Brett is going to have to beg big time and even then, the answer will probably be NO!!
Thanks for the compliments Dude. Much appreciated..in fact thanks again from all of you guys.
Re: The Randy Rhoads Grouping....20+ yrs in the making...
Wow! Both of those collections are awesome! It took me buying an RR5 3 years ago to really get back into playing. It's inspiring just to see those collections.
Re: The Randy Rhoads Grouping....20+ yrs in the making...
Thanks jack...believe it or not, it's words like that that keep me inspired and playing...thanks again. Glad you enjoyed the pics.
