Sean! OK, I read this whole thread and nobody has stated the one thing, hell the first thing that should have been said. This is a JACKSON/CHARVEL FORUM. What the hell did you expect to hear in here? esp was the ibanez of the 80's. copy an american company(ies) that sell alot of guitars. they made great guitars at a great price. now 20years later they build good guitars for a shit prices, but have the star power & appeal to still sell.

My point was to say a Soloist is a knockoff of a Strat is like saying a PRS is a knockoff of a doublecut Les Paul. Or a single cut Les Paul is a knock off of a Bigsby Merle Travis guitar. Though there is similarities, there are just as many differences.
