if you have a new guitar w/pics that you'd like, and must share with the rest of us. Please make an account at http://www.photobucket.com and upload your pics there.

Then when you want to display the images here...all you have to do is click the button under the text that says "image" and then paste the URL of the picture once it is on your photobucket account. It's free. And if you're rich, unlike me. You can even donate money through paypal to the photobucket people. That'd be grand.

I think it was chuck that found this wonderful sight and first shared it with us. So, EVERYBODY USE IT!

Just to add some alternatives... www.picturetrail.com, www.villagephotos.com, and www.onlinerock.com are also popular hosting/sharing websites. OnlineRock is more like general webspace that allows you to upload almost ANYTHING, which is handy for storing and sharing your recordings.

Admins, it would be GREAT if you could pin this topic at the top, or gather the key points and make one small clean locked topic that has all the info and weblinks.

try freewebs.com, gives you 100mb space for free, thats where my band page is

I'm not trying to knock you, but I've found FreeWebs to be incredibly slow. I was trying to upload concert videos that I shot onto FreeWebs, and it took FOREVER and never finished! I totally gave up! [img]images/icons/frown.gif[/img] How's your FreeWebs speed?

If you do start using Photobucket, keep in mind that it's a free site but like The Drip said, donations are much appreciated by the owner, so paypal 'em $10 or something. It's a one man operation and there is a forum where you can ask questions and the owner will likely be the one to respond. It's a great site and a great service.

I just checked out PhotoBucket just for the hell of it. Damn, it seems SWEET. Ten measly bucks (optional) for 100MB picture-hosting webspace with no downloading limitations is the impression that I get from reading the "About" page. I mean, damn, when are you EVER going to need 100MB for JUST PICTURES? [img]images/icons/grin.gif[/img] [img]graemlins/headbang.gif[/img] I might have to make the switch over, but I've settled into long-term OnlineRock use with my multiple free accounts. Maybe I'll gradually transfer everything over, freeing up my OnlineRock accounts for my music.

just to make sure its clear... It does NOT cost any money to use photobucket. But they do need donations to keep running, so it's highly recommended.

I had to upgrade my domain hosting account to 1500MB (next level up) because my initial 500MB limit was almost maxxed out with mostly pics [img]graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

I have friends that have maxed out 80 GB hard drives. usually with downloaded divx movies and shit like that.

I dont know why but every time I post pics they never show up here or on the bay. I dont know if its my server or what. I just signed up for online rock so lets see if that fixes it.

Yeah but you cannot use onlinerock for just *storing* your pictures on them. My account was just taken down because of it.
