SA-WEEEEEEEEEEETNESS corral of KV's you've got there, Cryo !!!!!

I USED to own one of the MIJ Dave M. Signature Models that was equipped with the Kahler APM-3310 {I believe they QUIT MAKING them in Japan with the Kahler fine-tune/fixed bridge and ebony fretboard the model year after mine was made} - They were cutting into THEIR OWN MARKET SHARE of US produced Mustaine Signature KVs - by producing JUST AS GOOD {at least IMHO} of a PRODUCT in Japan - for LESS JINGLES !!!

As far as a STAGE PRESENCE, King Vees and Rhoads are AWESOME - but ya SURE PLAY HELL TRYIN' to play 'em - SITTIN' DOWN !!!!

ALSO, Cryo...as a BIG KV fan - maybe YOU can REFRESH my OLD-ASSED MEMORY...

...If I REMEMBER CORRECTLY. at LEAST ONE way to tell the MIJ ones from the USA ones - was that the Japanese-manufactured ones had the script signature word "Dave"...ABOVE the "Mustaine" part, and BOTH WORDS were in ONE STRAIGHT LINE on the USA models - like you would NORMALLY sign yer name...

...or was it the OPPOSITE ???

Doc, you're right, also the usa's and japs have different pickups, usa-seymour duncan. Jap- bill lawrence neck and jackson bridge.
also the bodies are cut a little different. On the jap model the neck is set into the body by one more fret than the kv1. also the fretboard on the jap model is a little wider and flatter than the kv1.
