It may just be that the neck has gotten slightly out of alignment, which is not uncommon at all for a bolt-on, and very easy to fix.

Just to button this thread up once and for all. This guitar is one of 60 guitars made in 1991 to celebrate B&J Music's 60th anniversary. There were 60 guitars made, 20 transparent blue, 20 transparent red, and 20 transparent yellow. These were sent sparingly across Canada to B&J's top customers. I would imaging not many made it to the sales floor and were snapped up by owners and employees. She's a pretty rare bird.
