JT 580 LP Trem opinions needed

Guys, I've been looking on the Easton guitars site and Kevin's doing a limited run of Japanese guitars which have the JT580LP trem - anyone got any thoughts on these?
I'm used to original or schaller floyds and tend to avoid anything else, but the guitars at the link below appeal to me (bolt-on, single EMG, floyd etc)

D'oh! I check the board every day, but just the General, Jackson USA, Classifieds and Artists sections so I never saw that thread. Still, the trem sounds like a pig and replacing it makes the guitar $700 by the time you add a case, so I'm going to leave it.....
