I'm considering building a Polka Dot V as well for my next project.
That one will be, conceivably, much easier because Schallers are easy to get ahold of, & Randy changed the bridge on that thing once from a Fender to the Charvel so even if I use a black Wilkinson It'll still look darn near dead-on... I even "found" 7/8" masking dots to match the correct size.
I may go to a machine shop and get a bunch of those old Charvel Brass trem tips made up for use on the Wilk arm too... Lock 'em down with an allen screw or something.
