Both look blue, but flashes can do funny things.

I've yet to see a trans purple 750XL like the catalog mentions but blue is definitely out there!

Neither look purple to me either, but then again, it could be my monitor. I like the darker one on the right

The 750XL is considerably darker and more Purple. The flash makes them both look to be in the Blue family. I could see the Trans Purple label being put on the 750 though.

On my monitor, they both like a nice deep blue.

Yeah, they just look like blue and dark blue to me. I dont really see the purple.

They both look blue to me the only thing I see different is the 750 has better flame to it.

I bought my 750 new. The color of your 750 is offically trans-purple - but is not really purple. I ordered mine sight-unseen, and was kinda pissed when I opened the case for the first time. In addition, all the non-JC catalogs (like Musicians Friend) showed pics of the 750 with the guitar logo - not the ugly toothpaste one. So I was even more pissed! I was 10 seconds from refusing to accept it - then I played it.

So yours is trans-purple... even though it's really blue.

Thanks Nor. Looking at it on my guitar stand, it certainly looks like deep purple (hey...good name for a band !) Anyway, when I take a picture the flash brings out the blue. Great guitars though huh ?
